Financing Small Business
Implemented and managed $249 million statewide small business assistance program for PA CDFI Network and $25 million CDFI assistance program, using federal CARES Act funding. Assisted CDFI Network in planning and implementing small business assistance programs totaling $13.5 million using federal ARPA funds. Helped CDFI Network develop and implement $10.5 million grant program for historically disadvantaged businesses. Provided support to CDFI Network in operation of State Small Business Credit Initiative-Revolving Loan Fund.
Financial Development Planning
Assisted Fourth Economy in developing a funding sustainability plan for utilization and investment of resources to support Lawrenceville Community Land Trust (in Pittsburgh).
Training
COSCDA Annual Training Events
Plan and manage the topics, agenda, and speakers of the Council of State Community Development Agencies (COSCDA) annual trainings. The two national training events include the Program Managers Training in early spring and the Annual Training Conference in the fall. Includes responsibilities for recruiting, prep, and facilitation of speakers as well as providing tech support. Prior work included assistance to develop Homelessness Toolkit.
PA Prevailing Wage Act
Offering reference manuals on state prevailing wage requirements for administrators and contractors. Training sessions provided to educate both administrators and contractors on how to comply with state prevailing wage regulations.
Analysis, Research & Implementation
New Hampshire CDBG
In partnership with KW Consultants, provided manual and training for local grantees of the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) that are administering Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
CDBG & HOME Program Implementation
Assisted Capital Access, Inc. with analysis & research of state-administered CDBG programs and CDBG-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) agreements. Also, contributed to housing inspections project for Chicago's HOME & Neighborhood Stabilization Program and Pennsylvania's tenant relocation project for CDBG-DR housing buyout.
